Calling up OutLook Express from Access Basic in Access 2.0?

MLH
Is the following remotely correct?

=DDE("C:\Progra m Files\Program Files\Outlook
Express\OEmig50 ","Attachment", "Name")

I'm not sure that OEmig50.exe is the executable
for OE. Anybody know?

I find no list of TOPICS to use with the DDE
related commands in Access Basic or VBA
in OutLook Express or MS Outlook. Where
does one go for that sort of info?

I found that the correct name of the OE executable is msimn...

=DDE("C:\Progra m Files\Outlook Express\msimn", "Attachment","N ame")

I still have my questions regarding the 2nd and 3rd arguments to the
DDE function. Here's the syntax of that function, right out-a-help...

DDE (application, topic, item)

Does MicroSoft have TOPICs & ITEMs for popular applications listed
on their site somewhere - because neither OutLook nor OutLook Express
have ANYthing in their built-in HELP.

Use Automation code.

Searching for the "automation " and for "code" in Outlook, I found...

· A complete OLE Automation object model. Programmers who use
Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) can easily
manipulate Outlook data as objects. Programmers can create, modify,
and delete Outlook items, folders, attachments, and so on. There are
more than 30 objects defined in the OLE Automation object model.

· Visual Basic Scripting Edition. Programmers can define and
execute Visual Basic Scripting Edition code that responds when users
complete actions; for example, developers can write code to open,
close, send, or change properties of Outlook items. VBScript is used
with the Outlook Form Designer to provide powerful form design
capabilities. The full Outlook object model is available to the
programmer within VBScript.

Where can I get VBA or Visual Basic Scriptiing Edition? Do either
come with Office 97 Professional Developer's Edition?

OL2002: Outlook Does Not Support DDE. I found that there's no
support for DDE in outlook, but I've not yet determined whether
OE supports it.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
