Context-Sensitive Help

Introduction
In Microsoft Office programs generally, there is a very easy way to get help on a particular item, be it a procedure, an object, or even an object property. Simply put the cursor on the word you want help for (or select the word) then press F1. This brings up the help page relevant to the selected word or text.

This may be a very small article, but having this knowledge can make an enormous difference to those working in this area.

I know that you mainly work in Access 2003, and I just want to say that while I find the AC2003 help file quite helpfull, especially the context sensitive help, I find the AC2007 and AC2010 help woefully inadequate.

I find that around 70% of the items I want help for simply takes me to the front page of the help webpage, or states there is no help for this object. I even find that I often get help information for the correct property/method, but for the wrong object.

Since deciding to make the help system web-based, they have lost much of the benefit of an integrated system I'm afraid.

When I get to using 2010 properly I'll certainly investigate that further and see if the old system is still supported or if there is a reliable way to use the web-based one without the poor results that you mention - which certainly seems to be a problem, even from the minimal experience I do have.
