What is an rss feed?

hi
i want to understand rss feed what is? what is for?

i read a content that rss feed update users from update on site and the other content say that rss feed create and xml
from content of site

rss feed create a content or summary of the new content that is diffrent with difinition above
and the other hand for each user is send diffrent xml file
because an user read a content from site that the other user dont read

i m confused

would you please help me understand what is rss feed?
how does work?

You've described most of the rss feed correctly so far. It's a summary of articles in a specific xml format. These summaries generally are teasers, and link to the full article.

There are different feeds from different sources. Each editor of the feed decides what goes into the feed.

Not sure what you're having difficulty understanding, so post back if you have a specific question. You may want to try googling: "What is a rss feed?"
