Hi all,
I need to transform an xml document, using xsl to a HTML output.
I can do this successfully using the XslTransform class as below:
Dim oTrans As New XslTransform
oTrans.Load(sXSLPath)
oTrans.Transform(sXMLPath, "c:\trans.htm")

I do a transform of an xml document into another xml using XslTransform.
In my xsl file, I specify using <xsl:output encoding="utf-8"/>. However,
when my transform is done, the resulting xml is in utf-16.
What gives? Anyone?

Hi All,
I am trying to get my style sheet to work. It works fine in IE but I can't
get it to work in .net.
Below is the function I use for transforming, where advancedOptionsFile is
the path to the file containing an XML document required by the
transformation, and xmlSimplified is the XML document to trasform.

I'm trying to transform an xml file that contains empty short elements like
the following:
<element attrib="abc"/>
using the XmlTransform class. But I cannot seem to preserve the short format
as everytime it get's converted to the longer format of:
<element attrib="abc"></element>

The following blog gives a neat example of how to transform directly into a
node:
http://blogs.msdn.com/xmlteam/
However, the code doesn't seem to work as it is presented in the blog. I
have put together the following three test cases to show this. The first two
work correctly, the last one doesn't. BTW...the last one is codes according
to the blog entry.

I've been struggling for some time now getting a RSS app to work. I'm
creating RSS from existing XML files (transforming via XSLT).
The problem is that the page, itself, is still being sent at UTF-16 when I
create the RSS from XSLT. It's UTF-8 when I'm creating the XML myself via
the DB and an XMLTextWriter.
This gives IE headaches. It adds a space between each character in the XML
and doesn't render it as an XML file.

I have added:
<br><xsl:value-of select="Line" /></br>
to my XSLT stylesheet to get a line per repeating block. When I view the output as XML it looks perfect - one line per block. However when I output the file to a text file, all the data is wrapping and at the end of each block I am getting the text part of the header included but not all of it. The text that appears is:
<br xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
