Hi All,
We have created a simple application that takes a dataset and
generates the data in Excel schema format. It uses an xslt file to do
the transformation for excel 2002 and so on. We are using the
dotnet.xml resource and not the MSXML 4.
The application is golden and works fine with realtively Medium size
of data(around 25MB). We started to see issues if the data is greater
then 25 MB where the transformation takes tooo long and...

I have a lot of respect for David Fenton and Allen Browne, but I don't
understand why people who know how to write code to completely replace
a front end do not write something that will automate the code that
implements managing unbound controls on forms given the superior
performance of unbound controls in a client/server environment. I can
easily understand a newbie using bound controls or someone with a
tight deadline. I guess I need...

Hi there
I’m simply trying to check for a blank or empty value in a textbox on my
webform. In this instance I do not want to use a requiredfieldvalidator,
I want to use a customvalidator (as I have other code within the
customvalidator which works).
This won’t work (within servervalidate):
If txtBox.Text.ToString = "" Then raise exception…..

I have a very simple custom control that derives from WebControls.Panel and
implements INamingContainer.
It appear that controls created as children of my custom control are having
ViewState problems. For example, suppose I create a ListBox control as a
child of my custom control, attach a SelectedIndexChanged event handler to
it, and bind its data in the Page_Load event handler only if the current
request is not a post back. I load the...

this.Controls.AddAt( 0, new LiteralControl( "<span id=" + this.ID +
">" ) );

I am building a custom composite control consisting of two drop downs,
with parent/child dependancy.
The child dropdownlist is updated through client callback when the
parent index changes.
An 'All' list item is added to the child dropdown during the
CreateControlHeirarchy(bool useDataSource) method.
Somewhere between the CreateControlHeirarchy method executing and the

Hi,
I've made a CustomPanel derived from the Panel class.
How can I set my own size of the "client area" of that CustomPanel ?
("client area" = Size of the rectangle in which one can drop controls from
the toolbox, or place a control by code)
Because of the large border, some control too close of the border are on

Hello
i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this
panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is
that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The
control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's
parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this
line
""
before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

Is it possible to remotely host custom types?
Some background...
We have an application that uses custom user controls as 'templates' for
entering certain kinds of data. The application is designed to get a list of
the possible user controls / templates from the database. The user controls
are all actually derived classes and their base class inherits from
UserControl. So the app is then able to dynamically load the types based on...

I'm encountering some weird behavior with the ClientID property. Let's
see if I can give you enough info and if anyone has ideas/suggestions.
I'm working in ASP.NET 2.0. I have a Web Project with a master page,
with a single ContentPlaceholder on it.
I have a page that uses that Master template, and is meant to place 2
controls of type Fred in the content placeholder. The .aspx for this
page goes like this:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
