I have an XML Snippet <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> and when I
convert the entire xml file to a DOM and then generate a new file from
the DOM, results in <?xml version="1.0"?>.
Any thoughts?
My sample code snippet is:
DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
Document doc = builder.parse(in.xml);
FileWriter file = new FileWriter(out.xml);

Hi, I have some sample XML and an XSD below I have written.
The XSD almost does what I want. What I need is some way of enforcing
that AT LEAST TWO of the attributes "TestAttribute" are "X".
Can this be done and if so how?
Thank you

I am trying to use XmlTextWriter. I write the xml data fine, but the file
is missing the first line that shows the version and encoding:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
Can the XmlTextWriter do this?? Thanks.

I am using the xml serializer to serialize the objects out of a
collection into a file. The object that is being serialized is a
class in my application. When I serialize my class it produces the
following line.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
for each instance of my serialized class. Thus giving me the
following output.

Hi,
I hope someone can please help me. I'm having a lot of trouble with
schema files in .NET. I have produced a very simple example that uses
"include" to include other schema files. It all works with SPY, but
when I pick "Validate Schema" from the .NET 2003 menu, it fails with
message:
"Type XType is not declared." As I hinted at in my subject line, I
suspect that it has to do with including another schema multiple times.

Hello:
I'm trying to emulate the userSettings storage system on CE.
XmlSerialization looks like a very useful 1-line solution that looks
wonderful for serializing one class to one xml document -- but not an xml
string fragment...
Because that user.config often has more than just class serialized into
(such as one per assembly if each assembly has a Settings.settings file). An

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
