remove a part of a string with xsl

1 New Member
Hi
When I run the "xsl:" on the "Orginal xml:" file I get the result in "xml out"
but I want only the title not the footnote value from the second "value of select".
Anybody who have a solution for me

Orginal xml:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. ...
  2. <section>
  3.  <title>
  4.   <phrase role="footnote reference">#
  5.    <footnote>
  6.     <para role="footnote text">
  7.       <phrase role="footnote reference">#Setting_service_parameter_VWPolo
  8.       </phrase>
  9.     </para>
  10.   </footnote>
  11.  </phrase>
  12. Setting the service interval on Volkswagen with flexible service interval </title>
  13. ...
XSL :
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. ...
  2. <xsl:template match="/article/section[1]/title">
  3.  <title>
  4.   <footnote>
  5.    <para>
  6. <xsl:value-of select="/article/section[1]/title/phrase/footnote/para/phrase"/>
  7.    </para>
  8.   </footnote>
  9. <xsl:value-of select="/article/section[1]/title"/>
  10.  </title>
  11. </xsl:template>
  12. ...
XML out:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. ...
  2. <section>
  3.  <title>
  4.   <footnote>
  5.     <para>#Setting_service_parameter_VWPolo
  6.         </para>

Hi, I'm currently building an application in Access and as part of this need to import forms and modules from another database. Some of the imports will be revisions of existing forms/modules so I need to check and see they already exist before importing them so I can remove the old one. I've figured out how to remove the classes and modules before importing the revised version but I'm having problems with the forms. I was hoping to use...

I have a data table that is connected to a database table with a data adapter in the 'standard' manner. However I want to be able to remove selected rows from the data table (i.e. no longer include them in the set that is displayed to the user) but I don't want to delete the corresponding row from the database. I've tried using the .Rows.Remove() method but an exception is thrown to say I don't have a 'delete' command in the data...

I have been perusing various blogs and MSDN pages discussing the use of event properties and the EventHandlerList class. I don't believe there's anything special about the EventHandlerList class in this context, in fact some articles from pre-2.0 suggest using any collection class of your choice. So my questions focus more on the syntax of event properties provided by the "event" keyword in C#. (Disclaimer - I am a C++ programmer working...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
