How do i get my system to recognize my drive

hi ,all
when i connect harddisk and cd drive and go to setup windows and boot page appear i doesnot find my drive ,what is problem
note i changed data cable to make sure the error doesnot come from it

Has your HD been setup in the BIOS yet?

yes ,I still in BIOS because there is no OS to operate and HD is empty

What I meant is. Does your BIOS reconize the HD? If is is it enabled?

Do you have your BIOS setup to boot from the CD first?

You are going to have to recheck your HD conections to the power supply and to the mother board. Also check any jumpers on the back of the HD.

I check all connection to HD and CD (power, data)and BIOS still not recognize any thing

You say it doesn't see the CD either? Try disconnecting the HD, make sure it's set to boot from CD first and see what happens.

** IMPORTANT ** your first boot device has to be CD if you want to install to a HD without an OS already on it.

I wonder: How exactly are you determining, that the BIOS isn't detecting anything? Because the error might be right there in the way you're using it. Could you give us a step-to-step list of what you do?

hi,
first press delet and i went to BIOS page and chose boot option and select boot from CD first then HD and press f10 to save and exit but after few min appeared contain(no operating system)
when i go to show my drive i donont find any drive(either primary or secondary)
