On Tuesday, May 10, I installed VB.NET Standard 2003 on my WinXP Home Edition
system with processor speed 1.1 GHz, 256 MB RAM, and 40 GB hard drive. My
system has ground to a halt.
In My Computer, Properties, Advanced, User Profiles, I noticed a new user
profile: "Unknown Account." I deleted the profile. I went into Control
Panel, User Accounts, and noticed a new account "ASP.NET Machine A..." In
Event Viewer's Security log, I noticed attempts by two different user names
and domains to log into my system as "Administra tor, Administrador,
Administrateur, and Administrato:r (with an umlat)" at the same time that I
was installing VB.NET.
I uninstalled VB.NET but that has not solved the problem. My left mouse
button doesn't work, clicking doesn't always work, it takes a long time for
any command to go through, and it takes so long to access a web page once I'm
connected that it's futile. I took the computer to a computer repair class.
With a new monitor, it had trouble recognizing the first time I powered it
up, but no problems the 2nd time. It didn't recognize the first mouse but
did the second one. It didn't recognize the first keyboard but did the
second one. Then the system worked fine. Once I brought it home, it didn't
work.
The XP came preinstalled on my machine so I don't have a disk to reload
anything on and my one-year warranty from the computer manufacturer,
emachines, expired almost two years ago.
Someone said VB.NET is looking for LAN card and changed the BIOS but I went
into the BIOS and disabled the Network card. Still, no change.
Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix? 0 1400 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I have done the following steps:
#1 compiled and installed apache using --prefix=/home/imbeauje/apache.
Tested that it works.

I just finished the trial edition of Visual Studio .NET Professsional 2003,
and I like it a lot. I am only interested in the C# part though. Is the
IDE about the same in the Standard C# stand alone package? The "Microsoft
Visual C# .NET Standard 2003" package for $92.99 at Amazon.com.
Thank you, Larry Parker.

Hi,
I am not able to find Source Control Options in the
Tools->Options Dialog. Why is it missing ? Is it hidden ?
I have only bought VC++ .Net Standard 2003 Edition.
Thanks,

I've found 2 features of Visual C++ .NET Standard 2003 that are a bit
perplexing. First, there appears to be no form designer available for
developing WIN32 applications. So if I'd like to generate binaries
that don't use the .NET framework (by selecting WIN32 as the project
type instead of Windows Forms) I have to build forms and place
components by hand coding. This seems (if not merely anachronistic) a
bit ridiculous, so I suspect...

I have just opened and tried installing .NET 2003 after uninstalling Visual

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
