When I open paint brush - gives this message"there is not enough memory or resource to complete operation, close some programs and try again".

I restarted my machine, I have 120GB harddisk space, after restart if I open paint brush first, getting same message again, any reason?. thanks.

I think this is not the problem with your system. Maybe you have issue with paint brush?

Does the problem happen when you open a specific image or just when you start the program? I was writing a program that created images from business data and I was computing the file size incorrectly(the file size was way to large) and paint would give me the same message when I tried to open the image.

The memory in question is referring to your workmemory (RAM), the place where your computer holds the data it's currently working with.
If you have lots of applications open at the same time, the RAM might become full, leaving no space for new ones to be opened. It might also be possible your computer just doesn't have enough RAM in it to run your application (you can test that by closing as much as possible before opening Paint Brush, and also try opening it with a smaller image). No worries if you don't have enough RAM, it doesn't cost very much to get more put in at the computer store.

Building off of what Yarr has already said, you might have a lot of apps that load when your PC boots up that you don't know about. Check your system tray an do a CTRL+ALT+DELETE and open the task manager to see what you have running.

I'm using Win2K3 Enterprise edition with the latest .NET framework installed. I have this problem with getting "out of disk space" errors. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. When I installed Sharepoint Services I got the error and had to reboot and then everything was fine. I get it sometime when running aspx pages. It's very odd. Usually, I can just remove the application and readd it from the properties menu in the IIS...

Is it good programming practice to delete existing file before running Open "c:\MyFile.txt" For Output As #1 ??? IE, I already have a file c:\MyFile.txt on disk and I launch Open "c:\MyFile.txt" For Output As #1 ==> VBA is supposed to overwrite whatever WAS there with the new contents - right? And if that is true, does it matter whether I delete the existing file prior to running the Open statement?

As far as I know, Perl is known as "there are many ways to do something" and Python is known as "there is only one way". Could you please explain this? How is this possible and is it *really* a good concept?

I'm working on migrating an Classic ASP/VB6 COM application from an NT Server with IIS<6 to an virtual machine running Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6. I've worked through most of the obvious problems resulting from IIS 6 prohibiting ASP and SSI etc, but I've hit a peculiar wall. One ASP page uses a VB6 COM object that basically reads from an .INI file and uses it to open another file. The existing code uses this line (in VB6) to do this:...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
