You might want to do a little research on this before you attempt to install XP after Vista and Windows7. Normal multiboot procedure would be to install the oldest OS first and work up to the newest. If you do manage to get XP to install it will overwrite the boot loader for Window7 and you will loose access to both Vista and Windows7.

If you use Google you will be able to find information on Installing XP after Vista, but with Windows7 still being in beta I doubt if there will be much available on installing it after Windows7. The informaiton the you find for Vista might work but I wouldn't count on it.

I've got an array.array of unsigned char and would like to make a slice of that array (e.g. a) become one long like I would in "C" : l = ((unsigned long *) (&a)); I have been getting what I want in this sort of manner : l = 0L l = a l += a << 8

Good advice is frequently given in c.i.w.a.* on page structure: matters such as separation of content from presentation, graceful degradation, non-dependence on Flash etc. For some while I've wondering whether that could be transformed into a layered model: something that would help people to form a mental picture of how a complex page should be put together. I've had a go at this: http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmatters/pagemodel.html

I need to lay out a page with five main elements: A fixed div at the top containing a navigation bar, two side-by-side columns, a centered shopping cart at the bottom, and a full-window fixed div to provide a border. A test page is at http://www.marcvonem.com/discography.html The navigation bar and absolutely positioned side by side columns look fine (with a few cosmetic problems that will be dealt with later) but I cannot figure out...

Actually, how would I go about allocating a four-dimensional dynamic array? I only know how to make two dimensional dynamic arrays: double **v; v = new double*; for (int i=0; i<C; i++) { v = new double; }

I've been racking my brains all day over this. And I'm not the best at SQL either. I need a query that will produce the following results: Product,Warehouse,Sold_LastYear,Sold_ThisYear,Sold_3Months,Sold_MTD I've got four queries to give me the Sold_* fields. Their fields are Product, Warehouse, and Units. I also have a table which these queries originated from. The table UV_SPPROD (I didn't name it) has Product, Warehouse, Period...

Hi! For my current application I'm looking for a four-way-(cross) splitter control (as often seen in 3D-editors). The .NET Splitter-class is (IIRC) only a two-way splitter. Does anyone know such a four-way-splitter control? Regards, Andre Loker

/* It seems that when an int with width of four bytes is assigned to a one byte width char, the first three bytes from left to right are discarded and the rightest byte is assigned to that char. So, I can just assign an int to a char to retrieve the rightest byte of that int, and I also use this method plus right-shift operation to get the leftest byte of an int.

I have written a query that joins four or five tables. One table has 30,000 rows. Another table has only 200. I want to only return the 200 or so rows in the smaller table and columns from the other tables where data in the surrogate keys match, without returning the other data. It is an outer join, (for four tables, which one is the left and which one is the right?) and how do you define it in design mode in Msft Access Queries, as...

Hi everyone: I am new here and I got Calculation problem. thanks in advance.. I have four subforms which retrieve data from different four tables. I created a textbox to do a calculation with the data from four subforms. When I first select a Customer to display on the mainform, the subform's data that related to mainform is correct, but the calculation use Previous Loaded data rather than current data to calculate. And when I select this...

Does anybody know the answer to the following? An unsigned short is 2 bytes long. Why is the following file created as 4 bytes instead of 2? file = fopen("data.bin", "wb"); if (file != NULL) { unsigned short s = 65535; printf("Size of unsigned short: %d bytes\n", sizeof(unsigned short)); // 2 bytes - OK

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
