Hi,

Thanks for the replies,
I got my problem fixed.....

Solution:
The problem was with the registry value of the keyboard settings under current user. Altering the value fixed my problem.

running on XP pro adding vba code, I want to type in 'X = "good"' when I type the 'X', and a 'space', if I wait a second, the cursor automatically moves back over the 'space' when I type the 'X', a 'space' and the '=', if I wait a second, I get just 'X=' in red (like when you've got a syntax error) when I quickly type in 'X', '=' and '"', after a second I get 'X = ""' (making it hard to enter a string)

I have the code below to convert Virtual Keys using the Keyboard state. The problem is that it seems that GetKeyboardState is not working properly. The state comes back the same each time. For example, I start the app with CAPS off and press the "f" key. ToAscii returns the result of "f" properly. Then I press the CAPS ON and I still get "f" from ToAscii. Some debugs reveal that he keyboard state had not changed after the CAPS where...

Hi, Because the blind are unable to use a mouse, keyboard navigation is key. A major difficulty is that not all windows forms controls are keyboard 'tab-able' or 'arrow-able' or have "tab order". The application is built and the next step is to create the custom JAWS (Freedom Scientific)screen reader script to read the application. The application uses the accessibility properties for controls provided by C#. JAWS reads properties...

Hi group, I've got what seems a simple problem, but I can't find the solution. I've got a textbox and a handheld scanner to scan barcodes, the scanner just generates keypresses like a keyboard would so if I scan a barcode and the number from this barcode is 4210, the scanner generates a keypress on the 4 than on the 2 than on 1 and finally on the 0. Now what's my problem, normaly the barcodes' length always is 16 (so if the length of the...

In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
