running on XP pro
adding vba code, I want to type in 'X = "good"'
when I type the 'X', and a 'space', if I wait a second, the cursor
automatically moves back over the 'space'
when I type the 'X', a 'space' and the '=', if I wait a second, I get
just 'X=' in red (like when you've got a syntax error)
when I quickly type in 'X', '=' and '"', after a second I get 'X = ""'
(making it hard to enter a string)

I have the code below to convert Virtual Keys using the Keyboard
state. The problem is that it seems that GetKeyboardState is not
working properly. The state comes back the same each time. For
example, I start the app with CAPS off and press the "f" key. ToAscii
returns the result of "f" properly. Then I press the CAPS ON and I
still get "f" from ToAscii. Some debugs reveal that he keyboard state
had not changed after the CAPS where...

I've got what seems a simple problem, but I can't find the solution. I've
got a textbox and a handheld scanner to scan barcodes, the scanner just
generates keypresses like a keyboard would so if I scan a barcode and the
number from this barcode is 4210, the scanner generates a keypress on the 4
