i'm working on a gradual conversion of an ASP classic web site to
ASP.NET. a recent body of work involves adding a new asp page to the
existing site. i thought this would be a good opportunity to try this
"in place" conversion capability that .NET boasts.
the new aspx file, in order to function, will require many includes
from other ASP classic files. it was my impression that ASP.NET and ASP
classic would play well together in the same...

I need to convert the following code. The online conversion tool could do it
w/o error. Any help appreciated.
static void Main(string args) {
args = WebCommandLineHelper.CommandLineArgs(args);
string argstring = "";
foreach( string arg in args ) argstring += arg + "\r\n";
MessageBox.Show(argstring, "Args from " +
(WebCommandLineHelper.LaunchedFromUrl ? "URL" : "EXE"));

After conversion all of my TagPrefix are not recognized in the body.
<%@ Register TagPrefix="Oaklodge" TagName="Curve" Src="ctrls/Curve.ascx" %>
This does not report any errors, but when I try to use it like

Hi
I've got a project I've just run through the conversion wizard, and it's
giving me a few headaches.
I've got a user control which has controls referrenced from its calling page
(usercontrol1.textbox1.text etc).
All worked fine in V2003, but 2005 is giving me a "usercontro1.textbox1 is
inaccessible due to it's protection level" error. Obviously, with it now

Hi All :-)
I'm new to this site. I've been trying to convert several .Net 2003 web applications and getting tons of conversion errors.
I found this site to help walk me through the conversion process: http://webproject.scottgu.com/VisualBasic/Migration2/Migration2.aspx
which is great, however, when I follow the steps in this tutorial exactly, I get 102 conversion errors! Almost all the errors have to do with ambiguous file names, but...

How can I fix this?

I'm trying to convert a 1.1 app to 2.0, and keep finding one thing after
another that either Framework 2.0 or Visual Studio 2005 doesn't like.
Now this -
In the global.asax, code that has been running for nearly 4 years now is
giving me a problem. The code is supposed to give the user a "clean"
page with a login link on it and send an email to me when an app blows
up. It also is supposed to write to the event log too.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
