I have a very simple database call running on a W2K3 server. I moved it over
from a W2K box. However, when it is run on the 2K3 server, it leaves a lock
on. It is an ASP page and not and ASPX page. It works perfect on the W2K
box. Anyone else have this probelm or better yet a cure for this problem? I
do not have the time to convert it to ASP.NET yet. The ODBC driver is a bit
different. One is V 4.00.6205 dated 3/2003 the one on the W2K box...

How are you? I have recently begun some testing on IIS 6.0 in regards
to an asp.net application. After lots of testing I decided to create a
simple 1k page size webpage to find out whats the max rps I can
achieve. So I installed Microsoft Application Stress Tool (WAS) and

Hi,
I've hit quite a strange problem with XmlSerializer on my W2K3 server. When
I serialize/deserialize using an exe on my local computer (XP), everything
works fine. When I put the code out on the server (W2K3) it throws an
exception. It only seems to happen when serializing/deserializing _arrays_
of a type. If I just serialize/deserialize one instance, it works fine.
The exception I get is: (sorry for the word wrapping.)...

Hi,
I have a web app that works on my workstation (WinXP sp2). It does not work
after I copy it to the test bed. The test bed is a farm with 2 servers
(W2K3) sharing a file server (W2K3). I have IIS on the test web servers
pointing to the file share. I get the error below when attempting to view
the website on the test bed. However, if I copy the web app to one of the
test webservers and attempt to view the website on that server it...

I'm doing an install for a proof-of-concept environment; the server I'm
installing to is W2K Sp4.
I have installed to several servers in this environment under the same
project, all of which are W2K3.
I used the same install binaries in each case.
For all the W2K3 servers, the install proceeds without a hitch - but in
the case of the W2K server, I'm being prompted for an install key. I

Hi -
I have 4 webservers in my webfarm. All Win2k3 web edition. Before
yesterday, none of them were service packed. I have now applied SP2 to two
of them, and I'm getting a very weird MSDTC error on them now.
The error occurs when I attempt a series of SQL statements wrapped in a
TransactionScope(). It's executing against a different server, so this is
where it's elevated to a distributed transaction.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
