I have an application where I am providing the user the ability to
select or create a folder on a domain, using SHBrowseForFolder. When
the user selects/creates a folder on a remote computer, it returns the
UNC path of that folder.
Using ADSI IADsFileShare, I would like to create that share, but the
..Path property seems to reject the UNC. Is there a way of converting
that UNC to the logical drive path or some other way of setting the...

Complete newbie here.
Just sorted out that myASP.asp will ONLY execute on
c:\inetput\wwwroot
when I access it thru http://localhost/myASP.asp
but if I copy myASP.asp to a sub folder of c:\inetpub\wwwroot
like c:\inetpub\wwwroot\myfldr
and use http://localhost/myfldr/myASP.asp

Are there any alternatives to sharing a database without creating a shared
folder? I guess I could create a client/server app, but I'm trying to avoid
that. On the other hand, I am also trying to avoid someone deleting the
share to my database folder. Any ideas?

For several weeks I have been trying to track down the cause of disappearing
session and application variables. At the site that gives me the problem--a
Microsoft FrontPage site--I note that there is a _vti_cnf folder inside the
bin folder. And in this folder there is a file called WebTest.dll. This is
really a text file and contains FrontPage data regarding modification dates,

My Asp.Net application gives System.UnauthorizedAccessViolation exception
when It tries to write a word document to a special folder I created for
storing word documents. It says ASPNET account does not have write access to
the folder. How can I give the ASPNET account the write access to this
folder?

I have two websites that basically use the same data access layer. the code
in the app_code folder are identical for these two website. Each has a
different presentation layer (html stuff). It's a lot of work keeping the
two up to date when making changes in the data access layer.
Im wondering if there is a way to let two websites share the same app_code

In my asp.net 2.0 web application, I generate charts on the fly. I
would like to save the charts png images in a particular folder. So,
I created a folder ChartImages under the root of my web application.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
