Hi all,
I have downloaded the source code of G729 Audio codec from itu-t site and after going through its specification i came to know that it takes 80 2-byte samples encodes it and gives 10 bytes encoded data.But in the sample test application provided the encoder takes 80 2-byte audio data and gives 82 bytes of encoded data which is written into the file.I am totally confused with this test application.Can somebody pls help me.

I have Dell Inspirion 1501. The sound card is SigmaTel High Defenition Audio CODEC.
I've noticed permanent sound while using either head set or acoustic systems or built-in sound system. It sounds like crackle or crepitation. I've reinstalled drives but it hasn't helped.
What else can be done in this situation?

i recently had xp, then isntalled a friends copy of vista then back to xp,
but for some reason i cant get no audio device working..i installed the ABIT
cd it came with my new motherboard that was isntalled a while ago, but
nothing..i have installed drivers everything and still no device wil appear.
can someone plz help, i hate not having sound, i also have the logitech
z-550 speakers and on vista it worked fine, just when i revert back to...

I've just formatted my HD, reinstalled XP, Everything works, except the sound.
I went to control panel, and see that there's something there that has a yellow question mark:
audio device on high definition audio bus
It is probably the audio hardware with no driver.
Can anybody please direct me to the right driver.
