I have tried using servervariables("XXX") to request the username and
computer name of the individual running code on our internal server, but
what I want and can't seem to capture is the user's network logon and
computer name. The user's logon anonymously.
Server: Windows 2000

I want to write a little console application to get the NetBIOS names
of a remote machine...exactly like the command nbtstat -a , but in
a programmatic way.

I am trying to capture the Windows Authenticated username, but I want to be
able to capture the login name that exists in IIS, not Windows. In order to
enter my company's intranet through the internet, they have to login. I want
to be able to capture that login versus their Windows login because I need
to know who they are from any computer rather than only their computer. Any
ideas?

For tracing and other thing I need to know the username of the user who is
logged in to the pc on which (s)he is running my ASPX page.
I was using:
System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent.Name()
But that provides me with: SERVERNAME\ASPNET
I was hoping for the windows login name of the user.

Does anyone know how to get the MAC address of a computer?
The computer is in different subnet and connected through a router.
When I used the SendARP() function to get the MAC address, it worked when
running within the same subnet.
The problem is that SendARP() seems to return the MAC address of the router.
I tried both arp and nbtstat commands but they only worked when running
within the same subnet.
