I'm new to VB.NET programming and would like some help on a little project
I've got going.
How would I go about getting computer information on my local computer, i.e.
serial number, hard drive size, memory installed, etc. Then take it one step
further and gather this info for all computers on a network.
I really appreciate any help on this,

I have a Windows Forms application that accesses SQL Server 2k from a
small local network. The application has been used for weeks on other
systmes but a new install on a new machine retruns errors.
The machine is a new laptop Windows XP Pro SP2
The machine is up to date with respect to the dot net framework.
Details:

Hi,
I have a search result GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource. Once I open
the asp.net page, the ObjectDataSource automatically refreshes the GridView
which is the default behavior.
I am trying to disable automatic query feature in ObjectDataSource, such
that it query the database only when the user click on Search button.
Is there anyway to prevent ObjectDataSource query the database when the page
