I wrote a Visual Studio 2000 C# Windows application.
The application works fine on my local PC running Windows
2000 Pro, and it also works fine running on a server with
Windows 2000 Server. But when I ported the C#
application to a new Server running Windows 2003 Server,
I get this error... "Could not find a part of the path
X:\...".
I have several C# applications that run fine on Windows
2003 Server, only the C# applications that...

Hello all,
I'm having an issue printing to a network printer. The line of code
is fairly simple
printDocument1.Print();
When you select print from a local printer it works fine, when you
select a network printer you get the following error.

Hi,
I'm looking for a component or code which will allow me to print an existing PDF file
from a VB.NET app.
I need the ability to specify the PDF file and the printer name on which it is to
print, then have the document, er, print.
That's it.

Every 10 seconds I need to search a SQL table for orders to print. The orders
are created through WebForms on ASP.NET clients. The orders should not print
until
10 minutes before they are due.
The network printer will be available from the server running IIS and SQL
Server 2000.
If this were a Windows Forms application, then I would create a system timer
in Form1.Load(). How is this done in an ASP.NET application?

I am stumped. I lost my printer about a week ago and cannot reinstall it.
When I try it tells me that the specified print monitor cannot be found. I
have a Dell computer with Windows XP and a Dell Photo Printer 720. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.

The following code (which is distilled down from a larger application)
worked for several years previously. Now, the instant you click on
the print icon within the print preview window the workstation crashes
hard: reboots and upon Windows restart wants to send an error report
to Microsoft (recovered from severe error). My default printer is HP
LaserJet 5000N Series PCL6; if I select an alternative printer
(different HP model) this...

I have installed PMCMGMT.EXE on my XP SP2 workstation. I can add my print
servers and view the drivers, ports, printers, and so forth. However I can
not view the properties of the printers. When I right click on a printer I
get the following menu—Pause printing, remove from directory, rename printer,
deploy with Group Policy, delete, and help. When I run it from my Windows
2003 R2 print server I can manage all of the components of the...

I am migrating a number of printer resources from a Windows 2000 Adv cluster
to a Windows 2003 Ent cluster. I have backed up the 2000 printer
configuration using print migrator 3.1 but when I try to restore it to the
Windows 2003 cluster it only restores the drivers and not the shares. I have
put the print cluster name in the target box but to no avail, what am I doing
wrong. Thanks in advance as it will save me hours from recreating...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
