is the clock in the right time zone?

double click the clock in the taskbar, then click the time zone tab...are those the correct settings?

then in the internet time tab, click the 'update now' button.

is everything in working order now?

good luck

At some long ago time Steve Jorgensen answered thus: Subject: Re: How can I round a time? Newsgroups: comp.databases.ms-access Date: 1998/12/11 Access represents a date internally as a double and will convert between date/time and double automatically. The double value Access (or VB) creates is based on 1 day = 1.0 and the fractional part represents a

I have made a simple console application that creates a webpage from my playlist, then uploads it to my webhost. I decided to convert it to a windows service and use the FileSystemWatcher to monitor the playlist file, this is where i became stuck. I know the service detects changes to the playlist as when running the Change event of FileSystemWatcher, I add an item to the event log. I've tried making the service without including the...

Hi Guys, I am creating a Windows service that call a routine at given interval. Once routine is complete, windows service should wait for 5 minutes and then call the routine again. I was using System.Timers.Timer but i had to remove it because of known bug(842739). Now i am using System.Threading.Timer. It executes routine fine but the delay time is sporadic, sometimes it executes routine after 5 minutes, sometimes 10 minuete, 13...

I'm having trouble with PHP & PostgreSQL/OpenLDAP/Apache on Windows. I've set this up countless times on BSD (piece of cake) but I'm trying to do this on Windows now so that my developer can work on her local machine. Everything looks pretty good. OpenLDAP/cygwin works great. PostgreSQL works great. Apache runs. PHP runs. But when I try to connect to my PostgreSQL server using PHPPgAdmin, I

This is driving us mad - please help! Back in 2003, I coded a Windows Service in VB.NET for framework v1.1.4322. I deployed it in Nov. 2003, and it worked fine until the end of May 2005, when it choked (see below). We restarted it, and it worked fine for another 7 months until it choked again at the end of Dec. 2005. It has now failed again (mid Feb. 2006). So it's failing more frequently now? OnStart, the service reads a number of...

Argh! This problem is driving me nuts! Can you help? In November of 2003, I installed a web service on Windows Server 2003 built in VB.NET for v1.1.4322 of the framework. It contains a timer (System.Timers.Timer) which has an interval of 24 hours. Actually, it reads a time like 2AM out of the config file, and calculates the time between the start of the service to 2AM, and sets the timer. When the timer expires, it re-reads the...

In our web application we are calling different XML Webservices and make approximately 25 calls every 10 minutes. We use a separate thread to call a the webservice (Crawler) and populate our cache -- our application then retrieves the data from the Cache -- the cache is set to expire in approximately 25 minutes -- but since the Crawler populates the cache every 10 minutes with the new data -- thus it never expires. In above scenario --...

Keywords: scope resolution, passing classes between parent and child forms, parameter constructor method, normal constructor, default constructor, forward reference, sharing classes between forms. Here is a newbie mistake that I found myself doing (as a newbie), and that even a master programmer, the guru of this forum, Jon Skeet, missed! (He knows this I'm sure, but just didn't think this was my problem; LOL, I am needling him) If...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
