Hi all,
I'm investigating a remote access solution for a client. Five employees need
to work from home on an Access 2K split db. It's all working well on the
LAN, but I wonder what is the best solution for remote access?
-I've read that VPN won't work due to speed and corruption issues.

We've had a very large A97 app running fine for the last seven years.
I've just converted to SQL Server backend, which is being tested, but
meanwhile the JET based version, running under terminal server, has
suddenly started running very slowly. The network engineer has thrown
up his hands and said "It's Access 97". I've checked out lots of

Hi,
I've been using an Access application I wrote for an office with the
front-end stored on all computers and the back-end on one of them serving as
an Access file server.
Now we're moving to a 2nd office 15 minutes down the road. Only one office
will be open at a time, so theoretically it'd be possible to copy the
back-end manually every night from one office to another, but frankly,
that's pretty annoying.

What future does access have after the release of vs 2005/sql 2005? MS
doesn't seem to have done anything major with access lately and presumably
hoping that everyone migrates to vs/sql.
