Microsoft Forms Viewer

2 New Member
My question may be elementary, at least I'm hoping so, but I can 't seem to resolve it.

My computer was running quite slowly, so I ran a disk cleanup prior to defragmenting it (which I plan to do this evening). I'm assuming my problem started because I must have removed something I shouldn't have, but after my restart this message keeps coming up:

Please wait while windows configures Form Viewer.

Then it goes to a screen that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'formviewer_set upv3.2.7[1].msi' in the box below."

I tried to do a search for formviewer setup in my files, and couldn't find it. I now can't open and run several programs on my computer at all.

Please help!!

From what I've been able to gather, Form Viewer is part of Internet Explorer. If you have recently upgraded IE, the .msi was probably in the temp folder. I suggest (just guessing) upgrade/reinstall IE7.

Hello, all, I've read through both of the groups I'm posting to, and all over the groups, regarding filling PDF forms with data from VB. I have Acrobat 5 (and the SDK), and am using VB 6. I can successfully place data in a field with code like the following (leaving out declarations for brevity): Set AdPre = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc") AdPre.Open "c:\test.pdf", "Foo" Set formApp = CreateObject("AFormAut.App") Set acroForm =...

Hello, I have written an application in .NET (C#) which uses some stuff from the Microsoft.mshtml. Unfortunately some customers reported that they are missing this DLL. Therefore we now redistribute a copy of the Microsoft.mshtml-DLL with our installation routine (just copy it into the application directory). Now the application works on most machines, but on a couple of machines I get a "BadImageFormatException" (details below). What...

Hi, Sorry if this is a cross-post. Wondering if there is any way to genrate Windows UI from an xml file just as one would load a Web UI as HTML from an XML using XSLT. Please do let me know if you have any ideas. Assume that the xml contains UI info (i.e., which is the control to display the info on etc). One obvious, but tedious way is to manually parse the xml and generate controls using new() and fill in data, but am looking for more...

I'm trying to find a way to output a Access97 report to a file without losing any of the formatting. The Microsoft Snapshot Viewer does this perfectly but the person opening the file needs the viewer loaded on their PC. What follows are the ramblings of a network novice. Currently my company has two types of PC's in the shop. The PCs at each machining center run on a NT server (I: drive) and the office machines run on a shared Novell...

Hello all... I have a C# forms application that I am developing using MS Visual Studio 2005. I am trying to add some Crystal Reports to this application using the built in Crystal Reports tools with Visual Studio. It seems like it should be pretty straight forward, but no matter what I do I can't get my reports to actually show data. Here's the info: I created a crystal report viewer on a form. I created a crystal report that has a data...

I have a vb.net 2003 front-end, which is a crystal report (8.5) viewer/generator. When trying to export the crystal report to excel spreadsheets, today, which has always been successful, up until this week, the following error is generated: Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer: Error in file (myreport.rpt): Error detected by export dll My only guess is that a windows-update (we've had 2 this week) did something to affect the built-in...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
