Hi
Why does the following code allow me to keep the same session when in
the same sub domain (ie admin.localhost), yet not when I goto another
related domain eg main.localhost?
I would like to have the same session on the related domain. I bet
the solution is really simple <grin>!...

Hi,
I am re-writing part of my application using C#. This application starts
another process which execute a "legacy" program. This legacy program writes
to a log file and before it ends, it writes a specific string to the log file.
My original program (MKS Toolkit shell program) which keeps running "grep"
checking the "exit string" on the "log files". There are no file sharing
problem.

I have created an application that uses 3 parts: 1) a windows service
that distributes email 2) a form that configures the settings
(incoming address, outgoing address, etc) for that service and 3) a
form that acts as a report for how that service is doing (emails sent,
etc).
I want the report form (3) to be updated real time with the service's
progress. Right now I'm using the Singleton pattern for storing the

Newbie question:
I'm trying to determine if a file physically exists regardless of the
permissions on it
Using File.Exists() returns false if it physically exists but the
process does not have the necessary permissions.
One hack could be to check for length and that would throw a
FileNotFoundException ...but there is got to be a better way!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
