I have set up a scheduled task using admin username and password on a Windows XP, SP2 machine. When it runs, it runs great. However, it doesn't always run. Sometimes, the task status says it is running, but the program scheduled is not running. Anybody have any ideas why this would happen? Or, any suggestions for other, better task schedulers?

Well, a long time ago, some bright person got a hold of my computer and decided to "improve" it. Apparently they fouled up the default "open" option on the folder "file type," causing a folder to open in a new window -regardless- of what you have your options set to. So, before I go digging around in the registry, I want to hear what you all...

Hi all. I believe I have asked this question here some months ago, but never did find an answer, so I'll make another attempt. After using the search facility in Windows to find a bunch of files, is there any way I can prevent it from searching again, every time something changes? I mean, I can run a search through network drives and so...

Then when I tried to open...
