Dear all,
I built a Web Form application to start and stop a Windows Service remotely.
I successful tested the application on Windows 2000 server + IIS. I must
include the ASPNET user
to the Administration group (on server side) to have the necessary
authorization to start a Windows Service (I don't understand why "Power
User" rights are not enough to do the same thing)
Although I'm able to start a service using windows 2000 server...

At the end of a PHP script, I'm sending a file via FTP to a server.
I thought it'd be best to use a shell script in order to automate the
FTP (logging in, changing to binary, putting the file, etc.) (If this
can all be done in PHP, that'd be great.)
But, how do I tell the shell script what the file name is supposed to
be?

I have a third party shell script which updates multiple environment
values, and I want to investigate (and ultimately capture to python)
the environment state after the script has run. But running the script
as a child process only sets values for that process, which are lost
after execution. So I thought I could simply tack on an 'env' command
line to the script input lines as shown below. However, using

I am using following shell script to ftp files to another server
but this is failing as the shell script changes the user name for the ftp login
the correct user name is 'ag\invprint' which the script is fetching from a file using grep command but the ftp log says the script is trying to logon as user 'aginvprint'
Looks like the script is removing the character '\' when trying to ftp
Can someone please help and let me know how to...
