Make a drop down box disappear after option button selected excel 2000

I have two option buttons - Diplayed as Option Button 76 and Option Button 77 in the name box on a tab called "AMEND" .

When Option button 76 is slected I want a drop down box called Drop Down 43 to disappear.
I have gone into the VB editor and added the following macro to the AMEND Tab

Private Sub OptionButton76_Click()
DropDown43.Visible = False

End Sub

This is not working!

It doesn't do anything when I click the button. If then highlight the option button and assign the Macro OptionButton76_click() it tells me that the macro does not exist (it refers to the file name!and then OptionButton76_click() - NB there is no reference to the fact that I thought I had saved the macro on the AMEND tab.

I think the problem might be that in the VB editor where I entered the code if I click the object box at the top it says "General" and in the procedure box it says "OptionButton76_click()"

I think the option button I put in was from the Forms toolbox. I changed it to a control toolbox button and changed the drop down box to a control toolbox combo box and it works fine!
