Image of Employee on the Startup Form

32 New Member
I am developing a Payroll Program.

I would like the Startup Form of the Program to show an image/icon representing an employee with the actual name of an employee under it or by its side just like you see icons on the desktop of Windows operating system when you power up your PC.

The image/icon will be the same for all the employees. The only thing that diffrentiates one image/icon from the other is the name of an actual employee that is under or by the side of each image/icon. So if the user has ten employees, the Startup Form will have ten images/icons but with the name of each employee under one of the images/icons respectively.

My intension is to use this as shortcut to the data or row of each employee.

I would really appreciate it if any member can help me out.

Thank you.

hi

how do you want to assign the name to your start-up form?

you may use this name, give it an indexnumber and have the startup-form select an image from e.g. a imagelist.

Hi. I am not sure about the logic of your idea. Perhaps you could elaborate a little. It reads as if you are thinking about a splash screen which would not be very useful for your purpose. Is this going to be a form that a user can navigate from one employee to another and, perhaps, select another emplyee from a dropdown list?
