In Access 2007 ADP connected to SQL Server Express, most forms allow Text Format attribute of Rich Text, but a few do not.
In each case the SQL Server table field connected to the Access Text Box is defined as varchar( MAX ). I see no differences between the sub forms where I'm setting the Text Format attribute to Rich Text and the sub forms where I get the error: "The setting you entered isn't valid for this property" when I try to set the Text Box to Rich Text.
Any clues?

Hi,
I'm trying to use Mark Hammond's win32clipboard module to extract more
complex data than just plain ASCII text from the Windows clipboard.
For instance, when you select all the content on web page, you can
paste it into an app like Frontpage, or something Rich Text-aware, and
it will preserve all the formatting, HTML, etc. I'd like to include
that behavior in the application I'm writing.
In the interactive session below, before I...

Hi Gang,
I'm using VB 2005 so if you don't have that then you might skip this
issue. I need to get a rich text box and a regular text box's border
styles to match. For further explanation please see the screenshot.

If you are looking for opinon on what's useful in Access 2007, there's a new
article at:
http://allenbrowne.com/Access2007.html
Covers what's good (useful features), what's mixed (good and bad), what's
gone (features removed), what's fixed (old issues solved), what's broken
(new bugs), configuration, compatibility, should you buy, and links.
It is opinion, so you may disagree, but hopefully it's an informative
summary.

Just found out that the Microsoft Rich Textbox does not support full text
justification, since it's based on Version 1.0 of the RichEdit Window Class,
and full text justification is only available in versions 3.0 or later of
the class.
However, also just found out that the new Rich Text property in Access 2007
ALSO does not support full text justification! This seems incredible, that
MS would create a brand new application, and not...

I posted a few days ago that it seems to me that the Access 2007 rich text
feature does not support: a) full text justification; b) programmatic
manipulation.
I was hoping that someone might know one way or the other whether that was
true or not, or could point me to an article or help text that would. What I
have seen so far online and in Access 2007 help seems to confirm the above.
But that (or at least (b)) seems incredible that it...

I'm doing this on my rich text box called rtb, with cmb being a combo box.
rtb.Text.Insert (rtb.Text.Length, cmb.SelectedItem.ToString () + "\n");
The text, however, doesn't appear. What do i miss?
The idea is to add the text selected from the combo box each
time the selection is made. That way, one can create a simple
log or "how-to" list of commands.

Hello all,
My app has an e-mailing feature where you can e-mail reports, as well as a
bulk e-mail feature for e-mailing all customers (as separate e-mails). I
allow the user to set the subject text, body text, and browse for
attachments.
I also allow 3 basic e-mailing options: Default mail handler (Mapi), MS
Outlook, and a proprietary e-mailing client. I've always been curious how
you would send rich text in the body message, or...

I'm using Access 2007 under Windows XP.
I'm creating a a multiline directory list for members of a club with three lines for each member.
Each listing has three textboxes and within the first textbox I have code like:

I want the Telephone data to start at a specific column so that all Telephone data lines up. What do I add to insure this?

I have an unbound text box called Notes on a MS Access 2007 form with the Text Format property set to Rich Text.
The underlying database has a Memo field called NOTES with it's property set to Rich Text.
When I try to enter some text enclosed in apostrophes/single quotes (eg. 'test') into the form field Notes and press my save button to do an update I run into a problem as enclosed in the text file.
Is there anyway to capture the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
