I use python (and wxpython) on a win32 platform, to build a simple "home
theater pc".
I want to release it in a package (with all needed to run)
so i use (the wonderful) py2exe to build it ... it works like a charm ...

I am building a C++ program (main.exe) with VC6 which expects to call the
Python DLL. When I start it (under the debugger), I get: "This application
has failed to start because python24_d.dll was not found. Re-installing the
application may fix this problem."
I built Python24_d.dll using VS.NET 2003 (which I bought specifically for

I have a program linked to an .exe and this program is started from an
other program.
I would like to control the execution of the program so that the
program only runs 'single threaded'. I don't want simultaneously
session of my program to be run.
My program must be an .exe.
Is there a way to control this in a simple way ??

I'm having problems running a release build of an
application. The application is a native C++ .NET 2003
MFC application which links to a number of other DLLs,
one of which is mixed (SLGSE.dll) (VB.NET/C++). Most of
the DLLS are statically linked to the main exe (directly
or indirectly) but a few are dynamically linked at
runtime.
When I try and run the app, it gets "An unhandled non-

All,
I've written a "setup" wrapper that calls a sequence of "setup.exe", and
all works except when I call the setup.exe for the MSDE, then it gets about
half way through and then hangs... The MSDE setup works fine from a CMD
prompt... anyone know of articles or known issues with this technique, and
what are my alternatives to having my user install several "Commandline
parameter intensive" setups to get this installed? :)

"Word has experienced an error trying to open the file. Try these
suggestions. 1) Check the file permissions for the document or drive. 2)

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
