I have an app server running on top of Oracle 8i and need a way to
have a table insert trigger call a servlet url in order to generate
email to inform users of the event.
I have seen references to "owa_util.redirect_url()" but when I use it,
I get an unknown command error using sqlplus.
Any help would be appreciated...

I have a table with a primary field and a few other fields. What is the
fastest way to do an insert into that table assuming that sometimes I
might try to insert a record with a duplicate primary key and want that
to fail?
I know that if I try a plain insert this will work, but in the case
where I am trying to insert a duplicate key, the insert fails (as it
should) and an error is logged.
I could first do a check to see if there is...

I set up a database of civic league members and residences.
I set the primary key to conform to addresses by street numbers.
Unfortunately, I omitted two buildings.
How do I insert the data for these two items where they should be ?
The Primary Key doesn't seem to like that :(
Thanks much,
newbie here

I downloaded the port for Postgres for PHP-NUKE.
All insert statements are as follows:
For table:
Table "nuke_referer"
Column | Type | Modifiers
--------+------------------------+----------------------------------------------------------
rid | integer | not null default
nextval('"nuke_referer_rid_seq"'::text)

Hi all
Complete newbie here, so apologies if this is the wrong forum.
I've been asked to use mysql and asp to make a simple bidding system (rather
like a simple ebay), whereby users can use a web browser to view a highest
bid and can make a bid.
My question is; how can I be sure that when a user submits a bid, that
another user isn't also currently submittimg a bid, i.e i can tell user A

Given the table T1, created by:
CREATE TABLE t1
(id INTEGER GENERATED BY DEFAULT AS IDENTITY,
c1 CHAR(3)
)
The following SQL statements are issued:
INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (1, 'ABC')
INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (5, 'DEF')
Can anyone tell what is the value that is being inserted into the ID column by the following statement?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
