Copy/paste web contents

46 New Member
Hello,

I am trying to dynamically open up a webpage, copy the contents of the webpage (which, in this case, will just be an image") and paste it to a specific cell in an Excel file. The code below is as far as I'm able to go at this point (using the famous Google image as an example).

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Sub test()
  2. Dim ie As InternetExplorer
  3. Set ie = New InternetExplorer
  4. With ie
  5. .Navigate "http://images.google.com/intl/en_ALL.../images_hp.gif"
  6. .Visible = True
  7. SendKeys ("^A")
  8. SendKeys ("^C")
  9. End With
  10. Range("A8").Select
  11. ActiveSheet.Paste
  12. End Sub
I have a feeling something is wrong with the SendKeys commands. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I want to create two buttons on a form. One would allow the user to Copy the contents of the current records memo field, the other would allow them to print. I set up a report based on the memo field, and it works. But, it seems wrong since I had to create a huge text box to accommodate memo fields with a lot of text. Thanks for any help, ShyGuy

I am trying to produce a program that will output any Access report to an editable Word document. So far it is working well but slowly with text boxes, labels, and lines. I now need to try to output one of Stephen Lebans' RTF2 controls on the report. He indicates that a copy and paste method will work from a form to the Word doc and that is fine although I have not done this in VB, rather used ^C and ^V I suspect that a similar method...

I am doing a job where I need to copy a letter header into each of about 100 letters which are mail merge template documents for about 20 different customers - all up about 2000 copy and pastes requiring opening each document and deleting the current header and pasting the new one. I have tried to use IncludeText to do this and having the header in a file, but it appears that the client must open each letter and refresh the link before...

Hello, I am working in Access 2003. I have a pivot table that looks very good, and if I press CTRL+A, CTRL+C while in the PivotTable View then it will be copied into memory. I can then do CTRL+P in Excel and it pastes over great. Is there a way to do this with OLE Automation (or some other way)? I have been able to copy a PivotTable View of a Form to Excel with the following code:

I'm trying to automate excel from c#. One of the things I need to do is to copy/paste/insert rows in excel via c# code. I tried to do the following: 1) Select a row in excel (a12 to k12) 2) Insert a row. 3) copy contents of a12 to k12. 4) Paste these contents to new row. The "Record Macro" function returns the following code:

Hello All, I¡¯m using a context menu associated with some pictureboxes to provide copy/paste functionality. Copying the image to the clipboard was easy. But pasting an image from the clipboard is proving to be more difficult. These pictureboxes are bound to an AccessDB. If the user wants to add an image, they select an image using an OpenFileDialog: Dim result As DialogResult = Pic_Sel.ShowDialog() If (result = DialogResult.OK) Then

Hi, I've got a vb.net winforms app. Out of the box, I can use Ctrl X, C and V as expected in controls like textboxes. I've got a menustrip, and if I click the link "Add standard items" which adds Cut copy and paste commands, this functionality no longer works. It seems now I need to implement handlers for these functions. I tried to do so, but say the paste handler, I need to call paste on a specific control and that isn't necessarily...

I'm trying to code cut, copy, and paste in vb 2005 so that when the user clicks on a toolbar button, the cut/copy/paste will work with whatever textbox the cursor is current located in (I have about 20 textboxes on the form). Also to ensure that the button can't get used if the cursor isn't in a textbox field. And to ensure the contents of the clipboard are "text" contents that have been cut/copied from one of the textboxes on the form. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
