Hello All,
I know this issue has be addressed a gazillion times in the past, but
none of the offered solutions seem to work for me.
I get this error when I attempt to pull down the RecordSource option
in my GUI. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this?
I am running VB 6 with Service Pack 5 and Access 2000 (9.0.2720)

I have upgrade a 97 access database to 2003. I have a vb6 front end that I
am trying to connect to the database. I am getting the "3343 Unrecognized
database" error. I checked the references and made sure that they are all
matching. Does anyone have any advise on ow i can fix this -- Thanks

I have copied my database onto a DVd and brought it home to work on but when
I tried to open it from the DVD (datadisk),I got the below error message.

I am using Access Database in my program. The column in the table that I am
going to use has date/time value with Medium Time selected. (HH:mm). The
program is recording a clock in time to this field, which is the time when
the entry is made. If you check the database, it shows the correct time in
the correct format. But when you are calling it with a dataset and showing

i have created a database for our advisors to log their call types. It is being run on about 10 different machines. Every couple of weeks, when someone tries to open it, the error Unrecognized database format <filename>. (Error 3343) appears. It cannot be repaired as it doesn't seem to recognise it as an MDB file. Can anyone tell me:

I have a VB 6.0 application using Access as backend. It is being used
on a local area network. The backend database is password protected.
The problem is that the database gives me a run time error 3343
unrecognized database format. I open it in Access and repair it, which
fixes the problem. After running it for a few minutes (or sometimes a
few hours), I get the same error again, and I have to compress the
database again.

I currently have a split db and I keep getting this error after about a day's worth of use. Once I've repaired it, I have created a clean db, imported the tables from a previous backup and everything works with no issues, until the next day when it gets corrupted again.
