We broadcast email messages with PHP scripts, but sometimes email is not
timely and we would like to send something that could get there faster.
Can anyone tell me about how to send Instant Messages (Y, AOL, MSN,
Trillian, etc.) or SMS from within a script?
Please copy your reply off group to "access (a) NatPresCh .org" - hopefully
I will see your message there sooner. And thanks for any ideas.

I try to write a simple tcp based job queue server. It's purpose is to
get commands from a client and store them in a queue (STL). The server
has a thread which checks periodically the queue, executes the commands
in it and removes them from the queue after done so. It also has a
thread for every client connection. I am using the low level SOCKET
API. My server is a Win32 console app and my client is MFC. The
followinf struct is passed...

Hi.
My clients will be IE, Mozilla and Opera in
a Windows and *nix OS.
So, my web app need to, from a server, send messages to a specific client
(browser), send messages for all clients, redirect a client to another page.
In other way, a client will be able to send messages to another client,
throw the server.
These are the first funcionalities.

i'm having some trouble this code which i hope someone can help me with. the
following client side code works correctly if the length of the message being
sent in the POST request is 16384 (1024 * 16) chars or less. if the length of
message is greater than 16384 an
OpenSSL.SSL.SysCallError: (-1, 'Unexpected EOF')
exception is raised. this is a port of code that exists in c++ and java
implementations where they are able to send...

I know in TCP if you send a message down the wire, the OS may lump
subsequent messages into a buffer before sending it across the wire,
for efficiency. But, will the OS do the same thing with UDP?
I'm just concerned that I may be getting multiple messages in a single
datagram. I'm using a connectionless multicast paradigm where there
are multiple receivers listening asynchronously, and a single sender
sending synchronously.

Hi,
I have been developing an application that will run on a server and will
sends messges to IT staff telling them of different events happening on our
systems. I would like to be able to also have it connected to our web based
Help Desk software so that when a user logs a job the IT staff can get a
message to tell them of the job. The server application deals with the
directing of the messages. It will be able to send messages via SMS or...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
