Hi! I'm wondering what it is that makes IE prompt users to save user name and password. I have a web site coded in C#/.Net and part of it is protected by means of a form. When I key in user name and password I'm not prompted to save this information. Lots of other web sites that I access give me this option. Can someone help me understand why I'm not asked by IE/Windows? Morten

Hi I am trying to connect to a password protected access file from VB.NET. I have no problem in connecting to Access, if I remove the password. This is what I am doing: In the server explorer, I choose "Add a connection" Choose "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLEDB Provider" in the provider tab Selected the access file in the next tab Left Username as Admin and typed the password. Now when I try to test connection, I am getting this error message:

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

Hello! I'm trying to copy a file from another computer on the network that I do not have permission with my current logon details to access. If I open the folder using the Windows file manager with the path "\\ 192.168.2.2\temp" (where temp is a shared directory on server \\192.168.2.2), windows prompts for a User Name and password of a user who has permission on that computer to access that directory. If I enter valid details, the...

since choice of dbm used by shelve http://docs.python.org/lib/node327.html depends on os, and whats available on it, shevle files saved on one os, most likely do not work on another os, sometimes on similar os but different machines might not work either - goes back to what's available on that machine. inter operability of shelve files with similar os-es works! yes I had used it. For inter-operability of saved information across os-es,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
