Hopefully someone can help me here.
I have a personnel database with numerous tables, although only a few are
required for this particular query. I will name them as follows:
master - holds personal details about an employee, with the "staffno" field
as primary key;
psnexams - details number and type of exams a person has passed. Linked to
the master table using staffno field.

Suddenly this week, I've started getting this error message:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(GetOpenConnection)ExecuteNonQuery
requires an open and available Connection. The connection's current state is
connecting.
I'm very puzzled since I'm not calling "ExecuteNonQuery" and I am calling
"Open", which I've always assumed was Synchronous, i.e. would not return
until either A) the connection was open or B) there was an error. Here...

I am attempting to determine which of the following Program Cods(A) below are ]not contained within the Program Tranlation Code Table (B) using the follwing SQL query:

I have a report that opens up using a pretty complex query. I then pop up a form with combo boxes so the user can apply a filter to the existing report and then refresh the report. I need to export the report's records with the applied query to excel in datasheet form and it needs to contain the additional filters that the user selects. The reports datasource is the original query.
Right now I have this and get the datasheet format, but I...

I have a query (SQL below) that operates on values entered by users
into an unbound form to append a record to tblAdmin. I do not under-
stand the basis for the error. There are some 17 or so data entry
fields on the form housing perhaps 600-700 characters between the
lot of them. Why might Access 97 need to err on such a simple
operation?
SQL:
INSERT INTO tblAdmin (TowCompany, TowCoAddr, TowCoCity, TowCoState,
TowCoZip, TowCoCounty,...

Hi!
I have a report that needs to be run on the seventh of every month for
the dates from 6th of the previous months to the 5th of the current
month. For example, I have to run a report on February 7th for the
01/06/2007 to 02/05/2007. Right now I am doing it manually but I was
curious if there a function or something that will give me the
required date range on the 7th of every month.
Any ideas?

I have a form which displays the following fields based on a query:
Premium Due field has the value of 12,527.75 in it.
Brokerage Due field is the calculated field which multiplies a factor

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
