Hi all,
I am trying to write an application where I need the ability to open
an Excel spreadsheet and do basic read/write, insert rows, and
hide/unhide rows. Using win32com I have been able to get the basics
down as well as some examples displaying how to simply read and write.
But the next step appears exponential. I haven never done anything in
VB, so any and all concepts and commands are completely foreign. I

The Add-in allows user to retrieve data from a proprietary database.
I have configured an Excel workbook to retrieve the data via the Add-in base
on some inputs that the user enter in some cells (B7 and B8) in sheet1.

I'm writing an ASP application to open an excel workbook, then run a
macro stored in the excel file, which produces outputs that will be
displayed back onto my ASP application.
Now the problem I'm having is whenever I try to open a workbook (of
any format, i.e. 97/2000, 95, or xp, and of any size, and with or
without macros), excel just hangs forever, and if I killed the excel
application in task manager, my asp application will...

i have a module in Access which opens an existing Excel file and
envokes a macro within the Excel file to draw graphs. now i am trying
to convert the Excel macro to an Access one so that the converted
Access macro can do the same thing as the Excel macro does when i open
the Excel file.
Can anybody give me a hint? Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to run a Excel macro, which uses SOLVER.XLA Add-In, in
VB.NET application. When the macro is executed I get the following
error message
"Solver: An unexpected internal error occured, or
available memeory was exhausted"

I have a php script that outputs an excel sheet.The user has to download macro every time he wants to run the macro on the excel sheet.
Is there anything in php where the code downloads macro also along with the excel sheet or something like a button in excel sheet itself, clicking on which the macro runs on the excel sheet.
