Pretty basic... well maybe it is in visual basic I don't know, can you help?
Can I use as a string in visual basic to automate a powerpoint; to take on multiple (5) images from a folder location - (usb stick).. and how do I program power point to do this.. does the script work on a cd on loading the presentation, or does it reside in powerpoints architecture... ?
Do you know a script to do this?

Well, yes it's possible using the VBA of your PPT, and should be easy if the images have the right name (e.g. MyPic1.jpg, MyPic2.jpg...My Pic5.jpg)
so we can use a FOR: - dim i as integer
-
for i = 1 to 5
-
ActiveWindow.Selection.SlideRange.Shapes.addpicture(FileName:="C:\myPath\MyPic" & i & ".jpg").Select
-
next
Something like that should do.

I have a VB.Net application and a PowerPoint presentation explaining how each
form in the application works, etc.. I would like to select and display the
slide appropriate for each form by pressing the F1 key. In other words, I
want to use the powerpoint presentation for my help system. I am calling the
SlideShow from the applications menu, and it works great; however, the same
techniques are not working for selecting individual slides.

Hello everyone.... Im currently starting my targa support project again for
..NET and I am wondering if there are any particular interfaces or classes
that Im supposed to extend in order to do this in a propper manner. I could
try to replicate Bitmap however I believe the problem I ran into was that
the base classes for images are sealed in .net so I cant inherit from
them... Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated. I may consider...

I'm trying to read in a FITs image file for my research, and I decided
that writing a file decoder for the Python imaging library would be the
easiest way to accomplish this for my needs. FITs is a raw data format
used in astronomy.
Anyway, I followed the example in the PIL documentation online, and I
also had a look at the FITs image stub file included with PIL 1.1.5. I
cooked up something that should work (or nearly work), but I keep...

okay, the scenario:
i have a header image which changes randomly across all pages in the
site. that works fine. i also have an image preloader within the random
header picker which theoretically loads the header image before the
rest of the graphical content on the page. however, what appears to be
happening, judging by the status bar messages, is that the banner
always loads last.
here's the random header code -

I have read postings on the similar subject including the posting from
2003 shown below. This process works fine to display a single page
snapshot report in PowerPoint. I need to display subsequent pages from
the same snapshot file in subsequent slides in PowerPoint. I realize
that it is possible to add VB code to the Snapshot Viewer Control and
that there are properties such as .FirstPage, .NextPage, .LastPage,
etc, But I can't find...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
