Hello,
I've the following problem. I've to read out the data of a custom
application. I think (I'm not sure) this application is using a
Paradox DB to store it's information. I don't know it exactly cause
I'm not familar with paradox at all, but I've found files like *.db,
*.mb, *.px, *.xg*, *.yg* !!!
I need the infomation from this files to combine it with other data
stored in SQL 2000. I'm tried DTS to import the Data but I've got an...

Thanks for taking the time to read this note.
I have a Access inventory collection tool that I have automated to
build and Export to a CSV file. In the database I have several fields
that are large text fields for comments. When I'm collecting data I
have set the <Enter> button to move to next line instead of the
default.
We are trying to import this CSV data file in to a Remedy SQL server
using the Remedy Import tool. This import...

I don't need a detailed description of a solution(although I wouldn't
mind), but I am hoping someone could tell me in general the best path
to go about accomplishing a task, since I don't know all the
capabilities of what I have available. I can learn the details myself
I think. I am trying to set this up to be as simple to use as possible
since others will be importing data on a weekly or daily basis.
I need to import some text files,...

Hello,
With MS SQL server we can bcp hexadecimal data into varbinary columns
quite nicely. We're migrating some data to DB2 and trying to import to
a "varchar for bit data" data type column. With delimited data it looks
like importing binary data is not an option as the binary data might
have LFs, CRs etc and the import tool will get confused as to where the
columns and rows begin or end. The DELPRIORITYCHAR modifier does not
appear to...

I'm using PHPMyAdmin on an Apache2Triad install (latest version; 5.x.x,
which installs PHP5 and PHPMyAdmin 2.8 as well). In Access, I exported a
table to a text file, tab-delimited, text qualifyer of "none" (this is how I
read to do it from newsgroups).
When I use the Query window in phpmyadmin to import the text file, it waits
a while, then returns an error:
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that...

Folks:
We have a web-based app that's _really_ slowing down because multiple
clients are writing their own private data into a single, central
database. I guess the previous programmer did things this way because it
made things easy. Well, I'm the person that has to put up with
the long-term headache.
Anywho, someone at work wants things sped up, so what I'm looking
at doing is this for each client:

I have a table which is replicated for after images only. I tried to
do an import using the replace option into the source table with data.
For some of the rows, they were not in the import file, so were
replaced in the master table as a result of the import. For the
replica database table, the "deleted" rows were not removed; they still
exist, along with all the new/updated records from the import. Is this
a restriction of DProp? ...

MS SQL 2000 sp4 on WinXp Pro SP2
I am very new to this so please let me know what I can do to make it
easier for you to understand the problem.
I have a non delimited text file. This text file has several columns
that for the most part are fixed length but..
The fixed format starts with a variable length number( char 10) as the
first column and a max (char 30) description field and another (char
50) long description field.

Dear all,
I have an enormous database (Access 2003) containing sales information, and an Excel tool to enable end users to do planning and forecasting. Untill now I would create several queries, export the data to Excel (Excel 2003) and store the Data in the tool for the users to work with. I always have to export all information for a group of users as I never know on what part of the data they want to work. This makes the Excel files very...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
