Hi,
I've got a simple DB (Office Win XP Professional).
Basically, it's like a check book register - deposit, deduction and running
sum.
I'd like to somehow link it to an Excel spreadsheet that will do the
calculations and then keep the data updated in the form
and report in the DB. Apparently this isn't done in Access because
the "cell" where you enter the data is actually a field. I have a tabular
form that looks just like a...

Hello all,
Looking for suggestions and tips if possible.
I have an application running on a file server that utilizes the
FileSystemWatcher to trap when any Excel files are saved by a user. I then
need to 'trap' the current file and generate an XML file from the data
within the active spreadsheet. I have two issues so far with doing this...
Issue 1: Once a file that is being watched is saved, I grab it using the

I have a dynamically generates ASPX page with tables and data.
Depending on user selection, the same page can be viewed as a simple
web page (rendered in HTML) or as an excel spreadsheet.
If the user chooses to view the page as an excel sheet, I attach the
following line of code in C# in the Page_Load method.
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel";
All this works fine. But some of cells read nvarchar fields from a
database...

I have an ASP.NET page that invokes a web control written in C#. What I want
to do is (based on the session ID) display a certain spreadsheet that exists
on a
network drive. I want the webcontrol to open the spreadsheet using my
log on credentials since they won't have priviliges to access their particular
file from the network drive. BTW, I am guessing I will have to use HTTP as
this file exists in a Sharepoint document library.
I can...

hi there,
This should be a very quick question to resolve. I have linked to an excel spreadsheet from Access for the first time. My understanding was that whenever a change occurs in the spreadsheet the change should be reflected in Access more or less straight away.
However, I find that the only way to update the data in Access is to save the Excel sheet and then 'refresh all' in Access. Is this correct? I need live data in Access,...

Hello again:
My second question is:
I am linking an excel spreadsheet into Access, I have it linked and at first had problems getting the information imported into Access-it wasn't importing-I had a msg in the populated fields which read #NUM- I was told to use quotations before and after the numbers in Excel and it would import correctly, which did happen but when I run my query off that linked table, it creates far too many...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
