I'm trying to enable a menuitem in the parent form from a mdichild. Rather
than making the menuitems public, I'd go for a public method in the parent
form to do the change, but when I call the method from the mdichild, I get
this error:
C:\MyProjects\Visual Studio Projects\Tournament\Forms\frmLogin.cs(69): The
name 'test' does not exist in the class or namespace 'Tournament.frmLogin'
frmLogin is the mdichild.

I am using VB.NET 2003.
I have read the threads concerning the problem where the
FormStartPosition of CenterParent is ignored if the form is displayed
with the Show method as opposed to the ShowDialog method. I am having
a similar problem and I found a thread that had the following code in

Hi all. I have a MDI child form that is a systems maintenance form. I have
7 buttons that will be used to call 7 lookup table maintance forms. My code
to call the lookup table child forms from the child form is the problem.
How do I code it?
The MainFrame.vb is the MDI container. I tried setting that as the MdiParent
but no joy... Obviously I can't use .Me as .Me is a child form also.. So
how do I do this?

I have a "global" MDI which will contain everything in the application.
Since the application itslef will include three different "environments"
with their own child Forms, I was wondering if I could load any of these MDI
containers (or environments) so that their parent is the global MDI form.
Basically it's like having three different applications opening inside my
main MDI form.

This could be a difficult one, so please bear with me.
I've an assembly containing Delphi 2006.NET forms.
A C# app, via reflection opens these forms . This works fine - I've a C#
app, opening Delphi 2006.NET forms.
Some of these forms are MDI Child forms. Exceptions are thrown - "Cannot
create form - No MDI Forms are currently active" when the C# app tries
to open one of these.

Hi all
I have a MDI Container Form, with one label control
on the Background of this container form.
When I now open a child form, this form is behind
the label ... and this looks ugly ... :-))
When I set the label with "SendToBack", it completely disapears.
I also tried to set the child form like "BringToFront" but this also does
not help.
