When dotnet is opened it will display the last x number of projects that you
have opened based on the number you have selected.
Is there a way to remove a project from the project list without deleting or
renaming the project?

I was recently given .Net project files to work on. When I open the
Solution file in VS.Net, I always get the message:
"The solution appears to be under source control, but its binding
information cannot be found. It is possible that the MSSCCPRJ.SCC file or
another item that holds the source control settings for the solution, has
been deleted. Because it is not possible to recover this missing information
automatically, the projects...

This is a worrying bug, and indicates a potential problem in the Framework
CLR. This bug affected a project I was working on, which behaved differently
when run from the Visual Studio IDE than when run by double clicking on the
project's EXE file. The problem can be replicated easily:
Create a new project in Visual Studio 2003 and add the following code.
Module Main
Sub Main()

Dear all,
I write my own components for my project and add them in "My User
Control" under the toolbar. Some time later, I make some other new
components into it and want to use them in my application. Thus I rebuild
the "component" project again, but I can't find them in my "application"
project. Therefore, I choose my "component" project dll file again in
"Add/Remove Item" from "My User Control". This time, I not only see my new...

I've created a new VB 2005 project that I've been doing preliminary test
installs for. In the development project, I've set the applications icon to
an ico file. In the installation project I've set the shortcut files target
to the .exe file. I've also set the shortcut icons and the add/remove
program icon for the project to the icon in the target .exe file as well.
When I install the product on the target machine, all of the shortcuts...

Hi,
I'll need to replace an existing stored procedure (let's call it
old_SP), with a new one (let's call it new_SP) in a Visual Studio .NET
project.
Here's what I did:
1) Open "Dataset.xsd" to display the tables with their columns for the
stored procedures;

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
