Hi All,
Sorry if this is the wrong newsgroup to post into, on this topic, if so, please
point me in the right direction.....
Currently working on a ASP for a friend, which requires the date and
time on it. It pulls in entries from an Access Database with dates and
times in the format of:
"Fri Oct 17 18:02:46 2003"
However my date and time on the ASP page is displayed as:

I use DB2 8.1 with FixPack 5. In command line for sql I get all DATE
columns only in MM-DD-YYYY format. Of course, DATE('20-12-2003') gives
me an error
SQL0181N The string representation of a datetime value is out of
range.
SQLSTATE=22007

i'm using visual foxpro 9 with a mysql 5 database, for direct access to my
database i use navicat. In visual foxpro i've set my date format to
dd-mm-yyyy, also i did this in navicat.
However when i insert a date into my database i have to insert it with the
format yyyy-mm-dd. Is this a setting in mysql or is there another reason?

I have 2 gridviews on a page, each with own SQL Datasource pointing to
different tables on same database.
In the 1st date format is "dd/MM/yyyy"
Other 1
"MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss"
In the SQL database both fields are data type DateTime.
I want both to be in format "dd/MM/yyyy"
Why is the display different, and how can I get them the same?

Hi All
We are creating a multi-region ASP application which will be using SQL
Server 2000.
As our users exist in multiple location i.e. UK, US, Australia how can we
distinguish that the date the user is entering is captured correctly i.e. no
confusion with DD/MM/YYYY format.
I guess to remove database ambiguity I am going to use the format YYYYMMDD

General question for back-end database that has numerous date fields where
the database will be used in regions that put the month first, and regions
that do not.
Should I save a date format in the table design, such as: mm/dd/yyyy?
What I've done for years is to store the date format in date fields, then on
the forms, based on their region, I would set the date formats on form_load

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
