Hi
I am a .NET developer, but "have to" work with some classic ASP, which
I don't know much about.
What is the best way to work with it/debug it?
I have VS 2003 and 2005 installed, I know VS 6 (with C++), but don't
know if I can reinstall it. Other options I know about are Macromedia
trial versions.

In java, this seems so easy. You need a new object
Object test = new Object() gives me exactly what I want.
could someone please help me understand the different ways to do the
same thing in C++. I find my self sometimes, trying
Object app = Object();
Object *app = Object();
Object app = new Object();

read a couple of books, lots of forums, and tutorials, but i am still at a
very big loss as far as trying to write my own GUI Windows application. I
was just wondering how everyone one learns C# so well that they program with
it? Are there classes everyone takes? Is it done all online and through
published books? I need some one on one help i think but $2000 -...

Hi All,
I'm still rather new at vb.net and would like to know the proper way to access
private varibables in a class. Do I access the variable directly or do I use
the public property?
public class MyClass
private _variableName as integer
public property VariableName as integer

Our .Net team has just inherited a junior programmer that we need to
get up to speed as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, his skill set
is largely Access with some VB6 and ASP classic experience. We employ
some parts of XP such as pair programming, and this should help. Other
than books, does anyone have any suggestions? His skill set is pretty
antiquated and we need to get him up to speed as quickly as possible so
any suggestions...

Hi All,
I have a number of databases which I would like to convert to VB or VC using
Microsoft Visual Studio Express. I know I cannot just click a button and
have everything done automatically and that I would need to learn to
program. What I would like to know is which language would be best for a
novice.
I've written a few bits of VBA and SQL but nothing spectacular, I have done
a little basic programming way back in the days of BBC...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
