circumventing internet explorer's cross-frame scripting

(repost/edit from html forum)

hello -

i am using VBA within a microsoft access project to automate internet explorer. what i am doing is reading data from various frames of my company's web site (non-intranet) and loading it into a table. however, this cross-frame scripting security with IE is getting in the way. i can't even use VB to navigate to frames located on a different domain. the website in question uses framesets, not iframes.

question: how can i DISABLE the horrid nightmare that is the cross-frame scripting security measure in IE?

i have tried the following with no luck:

- adding all domains in question to my trusted zone
- HTA's
- VB's webbrowser control.

perhaps there is some way to re-write the HTML in the page before it is actually parsed and before IE's dreaded security protocols wake up and clamp down on the document?

i also understand that IE's security calls are passed through IInternetSecuri tyManager. does anyone know of a hack or a utility that i can use to possibly configure this with my own browser?

i have been looking for a work-around for this for over a year and am at the point now where i really need it soon. if anyone can help me with this then it would be the best ever.

thanks in advance.

I need to dynamically remove the onmouseout attribute from a link in an HTML page. I've written code that uses the removeAttribute() method, believing it's a W3C standard. While it works fine in Mozilla, it doesn't work as expected in Internet Explorer 6. If I call the method several times, the first execution returns true and the rest return false, so it's apparently doing something. However, the attribute is still there: hovering the...

the Journey of Foreign Characters thru Internet Xah Lee, 20051101 There's a bunch of confusions about the display of non-ascii characters such as the bullet "•". These confusions are justifiable, because the underlying stuff is technology, computing technologies, are in a laymen sense, extremely complex. In order to be able to type the bullet char, post it to a newsgroup,

The table on my page (

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
