I have a problem getting ADOdb working with Oracle 9i. Before I tried
to connect to Oracle, I successfully connected to an MS Access table
via a DSN, and looped through all the records in that table, so I am
pretty sure ADOdb is installed correctly, but I could be wrong. To
connect to Oracle 9i, I first go in and un-comment
extension=php_oci8.dll and extension=php_oracle.dll in the php.ini
file, but when I do that, the CGI script always...

My machine is Windows XP with Oracle 9.2 Home; IIS and Oracle
are in the same box.
I have tried both Oracle OLEDB Provider and Microsoft ODBC For Oracle,
but both not working.
For Microsoft ODBC For Oracle approach, I added a data source
in Oracle Data Source Administrator, in System DSN tab, I created
a system data source named OracleDSN with Microsoft ODBC for Oracle.

I've been trying to build a DAO.QueryDef.Connect string, building it
from a user ID and password string obtained previously by a log-in
dialog box, using it to log in to an Oracle database through an ODBC
connection. The problem I have is that it's intermittent, in that
invariably the first time I try to connect I still get the Oracle
log-in prompt where the user has to type in all the info again anyway;

Any way to avoid having to manually enter my user name & password for
the Oracle login box? I normally run a query on an attached Oracle
table and have to enter the un/pw before the query will run. There's
no place to enter this information in. Later, if I run subsequent
queries on the table in question, I don't need to enter un/pw again. I
can leave my PC on 24x7, but that's not really a solution. I need to

I Can not connect to Oracle 10g XE from ASP perscript web page on IIS 6 running on server 2003. I have set up the database and the ODBC connections. The ODBC connection is workinh and I can connect to it via the ODBC test. I have the same ASP application running on a VISTA workstation and it connects fine.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
