Hi everyone
I have the folowing situations with my backups.
With Database Maintenance Plan is created backup strategy. Full Backup
is performing every day at 1.00 am. And Romove files older than: is
checked on 2 days, and it's working fine.
I am interested how can i perform this action with tsql, without using
DMPlan.

I just brought a new small server online. It has two disks in RAID1
(mirrored) for the operating system and logs and DB2 DBMS. DB2 data
on a separate RAID 5EE array on four disks. (IBM ServeRAID 6i
controller.)
I don't expect more than 200 GB total data ever in the DB2 database
(starting with 120 MB), and 150 GB in other stuff.
Want to backup the database separately, and then everything else. Now

I have no experience with DB2 as such, but I've been tasked with configuring
backup of a server running DB2 v8 on Windows Server 2003. I do have some
experience with backups in general though. The backup software I'll be using
is Backup Exec 10, but Backup Exec doesn't have a specific agent for DB2, as
it does for SQL and Oracle. The supplier of Backup Exec claims I can use the
Open File option of Backup Exec to backup DB2.

I have DB2ESE version 8.1 with FP 4 on AIX 5.2. My database used to be
1.1TB. When the DB size is 1.1TB, it takes approximately 7 hours to
backup the entire database (online backup). The backup is directed to
disk and not tape.

I have a properties dialog. X objects build the dialog, but a subclass
of X, such as Y, can add more options to the dialog for Y specific
properties. I would like to write code for the dialog that creates a
backup of the current object when the dialog pops up, and sets the

wondering what is a "standard" way of doing a backup to provide 24/7
operations with disaster recovery capabilities?
My thoughts were an offline backup once per quarter, followed by a
monthly online backup, followed by daily backups of the logfiles.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
