Hi. Your question is a little vague. Do you have a need to interact with a specific app, and if so which app?

I use winsock ctrl for chatting. If i send keys from server appln. to client appln. the keys will be got in the client side but how does it affect the running slideshow such as moving to next or previous slide view.Because slideshow is running in front of all application, I too want it in a Full screen view. Is there any API function available, through that we can interact with Powerpoint Show.

Hi, The following URL a has a video entitled "Interacting With Web Sites in Code." The video explains exactly what I am trying to do which is to directly communicate with a website and programmatically post data to a web page and examine the response. Can anyone direct me to where I might find the code used in the video? http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/atthemovies/web/default.aspx

Hi all, My large public sector employer makes use of a large private sector comglomarate for our IT, and so flexibilty and attention to the needs of the little people aren't exactly top of anyone's agenda. To that end, I've spent the last 3 years providing quick 'n' cheap databases in Acc 97, augmented with VB that I'm picking up from books and the net. My employer's intranet displays stuff (e.g. staff location info) & I'd like to tap...

Hi, Probably well worn ground, this, but im stumped and need some help, if you could: I'm trying to write some code for a windows service that needs to run in the background polling a server for commands. Certain commands require the service to interact with the application running on the active desktop, currently just to either shut it down or start it.

Hi I'm trying to write a program that interacts with an interactive cli program, that is a program that does some processing but every now and then requires some user input. My problem is that when I redirect stdin and stdout of the program I launch, the program seems to run but I never get any output from it. But if I don't redirect its stdout, I see how it's just sitting there waiting for my input. To illustrate the problem and make...

Hey all, So far my reading is proving to be very interesting and good. This book is very helpful, and I'm generally left with quite a few questions about how I'm going to do stuff with my current setup. Basically speaking, all my stuff is currently in PHP. I need the ability for being able to interact with PHP quite a bit. My largest question right now, is say that I want to provide some information from my PHP form to the asp one...

Hi, I am writing an mp3 player using wpf, I have three user controls (media library, media controls and a playlist). Obviously I need these to interact with each other, I assume the best way to do this is to use events right ?. Can I raise an event on one user control and have one of the others suscribe to it ? or do I need to have the main window suscribe to it and then pass the message on to the target user control ?.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
