My C# app has a toolbar with 12 or so buttons on it, all created via the
designer. In some circumstances we need to add one or two buttons to it
dynamically. I have code that does this and it works fine -- provided that
the buttons are added "early enough", that is, before the Form_Load. If I
try to add the buttons after the Form_Load, the buttons do get added but
there is a bad side effect. Namely, the button images for all the...

I have a tool bar and an image list that holds all icon images that are
shown on the tool bar. However, I have noticed several times that when I
add the images to the buttons on toolbar, they get for first few times only.
Each time I open my form afterwards, the icons are gone and only blank
buttons are visible.
I did not move any folders around, so all the images are where they were and
they get referenced properly. No changes to the...

I wanted to add a Combobox to a toolbar... Kind of the look you get on
VisualStudio's toolbar.
I've been able to find some VB 6 samples, but the placeholder option is no
longer available for ToolbarButtons...
Does anyone know how this could be done?
Looking forward to hear from you,

Anybody have code to add a ToolBar, and its buttons to a MDI Child window.
I have added the Toolbar, and added the buttons, but how do you determine
what the button is going to execute upon the user clicking it. How do you
add this code dynamically?

Hello,
i am using visual studio 2003 enterprise architect version. I am making
apps for the .Net framework 1.1. While testing an interface, i discovered
something strange.
In this application we have a standard toolbar that is at the top of the
form window. It contains about 8 buttons that use images from an imagelist.
Sometimes we hide buttons thru the code.
When a button is hidden, i assumed that it wasn't clickable. It appears

I'm having trouble adding Access 2003 databases to Sourcesafe. I go
to Tools, Sourcesafe, Add Database to Sourcesafe... at which point a
message box appears saying "This database must be closed before you
add it to Sourcesafe. Do you want Microsoft Access to close this
database?" I click "Yes", and it displays the Sourcesafe Login
screen. I log in, and select a location to add the project. And then
nothing happens. Zilch. Nada. ...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
