Hi there,

Barcode values are stored in database as string (character), you need write some kind of function to identify scanned code value with corresponding item details. Hope you understand, good luck & take care.

Hi there,

There are 2 options available, first option will be reading signals received by your serial (COM) port, second option would be to make use of the SDK (Software Development Kit) provided by the hardware manufacturer. Good luck & Take care.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to solve a particular problem. A client wants to print barcode labels from their (web/php based application). The barcode labels are very small, so I'm guessing that doing a screendump via a standard inkjet isn't going to work (i.e. might need somehow to print to a barcode printer!) Any ideas where to start? Thanks in advance.

Hi, We are from Belgium and are looking for someone who could write us a point-of-sale (POS) software for a DVD-film shop. I like it to be in MS-Access with some VBA or just VB. The barcodes will be read through the keyboard interface, so there want be work to do on serial scanners.

Hello! I would like to know recommendations and experiences how to print barcodes using VB .NET 2003 and Windows Form application. What would I need to make it possible to use my application to create barcode paper printings. Do I need extra components or is it possible to use Crystal Reports which is shipped with Visual Studio setting font to barcode on the MyReport.rpt ? Earlier I used VB6 simply using Printer.Print after setting...

I am looking into the feasability of writing a program (probably as an active-x addon) for my school district that accepts zipcodes and returns the correct POSTNET barcode. This would most likely be used when building mailing labels in MS Access. I realize that Word produces the barcodes, but I'm still interested in how it would be programmed. I presume I'll need some kind of barcode font, unless there are ways to programmatically build...

Hello All, I am trying to figure out how to dynamically create and display barcodes in a web form. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me an example? Due to budget issues, I prefer not to use third party products. TIA Mike

I'm a newbie and I have to take data from access (inventory), put the table into a label-making software. Then I need to find a way to scan the barcodes and have that call up the data in access. Microsoft says Access doesn't support barcodes, but I can find 3rd party add-ins. No luck on my search. How do I use barcodes in access? thanks

Hello Group: I am in the planning stages of an application that will be accessed over the web, and one of the ideas is to print a barcode that is generated when the user creates a record. The application is to track paperwork/items and uses barcodes to easily identify which paper/item belongs to which record. Is there an easy way to generate barcodes using Python -- considering the application will be printing to a printer at the...

Hi, I am trying to write a page that creates some barcodes using the PEAR Image_Barcode module. I am getting one barcode to write just fine but it will not print out any more than one and will not print any text on the page. What I would like is to pass in the information to be barcoded, and a category for each barcode, then have a page displayed that groups the barcodes by category.

Hello All, I have been asked to build a simple database that will operate and track a liquid dispensing device. The machine is run in a multi-bus drop (coin operated basis) but I need to make it run on a barcode scanner basis. I have no idea if this is even possible (or if there are examples that have already been done) I have never set up a barcode scanner before and certainly never had to interface with a machine like this.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
