Hi,
When a combo is databound, the selectedindex before
databinding is -1, after datbinding and painting them the
selectedindex is 0, but the change in the selectedindex is
not raising selectedindexchanged event. Can anybody help
how can we catch the selectedindex change in this time.
Thanks in Advance,
Shravan.

I am using a class that inherits from the
DataGridTextBoxColumn.
It adds a combo box into the column where it displays a
selection of choices.
The problem I have is that when this comboBox loses focus
I lose the selected text.
And this next line isn't setting the text in the cell.
// code within the custom DataGridComboBoxColumn class
this.TextBox.Text = this.ComboBox.SelectedItem.ToString();

I have a strange problem with a databound listbox. It may be because of how
I use it, but I am stumped by this behavior. Here is the scenario:
I have a multiselect databound listbox that belongs to a panel control. In
the Page_Load event, the panel listbox control may be moved from one panel
to another depending on selections that the operator makes. Everything
seems to work fine except for one thing. The selections that are made in...

Hi
I have a form with a combo on it
The combos items is a list of groups (ie coworker, parent, friend) which it
gets from a dataset when the form loads.
When the user selects a group from the combo my code selects all persons in
this group (using a dataview) and generates an email for them. It all works
well.
Except when I load the form. I have my Dataadapter.Fill placed in the forms
Load procedure.
When I use a Dataadapter.Fill(Dataset...

I've got a databound combo (databound to a System.Data.DataTable), but some
rather unpredicatable behaviour -- even though I have 8 rows in the source
table, only the first 6 are showing up in the items collection.
I've been scratching my head over this for a while now, but can't fathom
what could be to blame for this oddity.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before, or can think of any possible causes?

Hello,
First, i'm french.... so my english isn't very good.
I use the propertygrid control to edit an object that I have created (class)
which represents a record of table in a database. Some properties of the
object are in fact values of foreign key of other tables. I would like,
instead of having an integer (key value) for value of the property in my
property grid, a databound combo box with valuemember and displaymember. In
this...

This is driving me nuts, it is such a simply thing to do but i cannot for the
life of me work out how you are suposed to do it. I want to update the data
in DropDownListB based on what is selected in DropDownListA. I am not trying
to do anything fancy with AJAX, i am happy to use Post Backs. If it were two
controls just on the page then i would simply specify a control parameter for
the SelectCommand of the SQLDataSource control which...

I am using VB 6. I have a databound combo box which links to an Oracle
database through an Access .MDB. The Access is version 2003 (11.6566.8122) SP2. The combo box is a Microsoft control - not third party.
When I run the program on my (development) computer the combo box gets
loaded and displays the entries when I click on the down arrow, as it
normally would. It works both in the IDE and when run from the compiled .exe.
When...

I'm having a really weird problem with a combo box (drop down list) on
a databound form.
I load 3 values programmatically into the combo box "MALE" "FEMALE"
and "UNKNOWN". When I run the app, if I tab to the combo box and type
'm' on the keyboard "MALE" shows up in the combo box, but it doesn't
save when I execute my .update statement. But, if I click on the list
and select "MALE" from the drop down list, it saves into the database...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
